September 22, 2020 @ 7:00 pm - 9:30 pm IST

€40.00 – €60.00

Ready for the next step? Introducing our two new Masterclasses.

Each a two and a half hour online zoom class where class numbers will be limited to ensure a more personal tutoring. ‘Understanding Colour’ and ‘Planning a painting’ are both invaluable lessons to achieving success in any medium. You will receive notes and practical work, questions and answers from professional Artists, all while sitting in the comfort of your own home and a cupa besides you.

Planning a Painting
Nothing can be more off putting than literally starting a painting of your own. It is in your head, now how do you proceed? There is a bit of theory behind it being successful.
Start with an idea, gathering information, planning your composition, looking at perspective, depth and lines, dividing your canvas and looking at eye levels. Are you doing it from live, en plein air? still life? how do you decide what to paint, what to leave out, how will it sit on your canvas? Working from a photograph?
…Learn how all this can be easier than it sounds, trust us it’s not that scary once it’s explained!
In this class you will learn the basics of composition, perspective, how to actually get started, the rule of thirds and much more. Attendance on date is recommended, full interaction between tutors and students with cameras on and feedback in real time given.
Masterclass Date: Tuesday 22nd September 2020 from 7-9:30pm
Platform: Zoom
Lead Instructor: Aisling Kearney Burke, assisted by Sinead McCarthy
Cost: €40 pp for 1 Masterclass or purchase both Masterclasses for €60pp
