The suns rays glisten against the exterior of one of the oldest passage tombs in the world. Situated in the Boyne Valley Co. Meath, Newgrange is most famous for amazing feat of engineering thousands of years ago which allow the sun to seep through a roof box above the entrance, down a long passage way and illuminate the centre chamber on the winter solstice. Imagine the rituals and gatherings of this time as you immerse yourself in this painting.
